احتضنت أنشطة بيئية ومشاركة فاعلة لفريق أيلة للغطس أيلة ترعى فعاليات “حملة نظفوا العالم 2023”
قدّمت شركة واحة أيلة للتطوير دعمها لحملة “نظفوا العالم 2023” التي أطلقتها الجمعية الملكية لحماية البئية البحرية في العقبة للعام الثلاثين على التوالي،و أقيمت برعاية سمو الأميرة بسمة بنت علي، و بحضور رئيس مجلس مفوضي سلطة منطقة العقبة الاقتصادية الخاصة معالي نايف الفايز. ويأتي الدعم والرعاية التي وفرتها أيلة لفعاليات الحملة لتعكس اهتمامها الدائم بالأنشطة التي تستهدف الحفاظ على البيئة البحرية، والتزاماً باستراتيجيتها للمسؤولية الاجتماعية التي تولي أنشطة التنمية المستدامة جلّ رعايتها. واحتضنت مرافق أيلة أنشطة تفاعلية بيئية بمشاركة مختصين وطلبة مدارس، وفعاليات تنظيف منطقة المرسى بمشاركة واسعة من مراكز الغطس ومتابعة من فرق مديرية الأمن العام والدفاع المدني. وشملت مشاركة أيلة في الحملة على مساهمة فريق الغطس التابع لشركة واحة أيلة للتطوير في فعاليات الحملة على مدار يومي الأربعاء والخميس 13و14 أيلول/سبتمبر الماضي والعمل على جمع النفايات الضارة على مختلف الأعماق لحماية البيئة البحرية، ونشراً للتوعية بأهمية مراعاة القواعد العامة على الشواطئ. وقال المدير التنفيذي لشركة واحة أيلة للتطوير المهندس سهل دودين: “نفخر بهذه المشاركة والدعم الذي نقدمه للحملة، لأننا نقف في مصاف المساندين لجهود الحد من التلوث والتغير المناخي، ورمي المخلفات على الشواطئ، وقد اعتدنا في أيلة على التعاون البناء في سبيل حماية البيئة البحرية ونبذل جهدنا في سبيل حماية الشواطئ وتوعية الجمهور بضرورة الالتزام بالقواعد البيئية، وهو ما لاقى صدىً في الاعتراف الدولي المرموق مع رفع العلم الأزرق على عدة منشآت في أيلة”. وأضاف دودين: “نعتز بجهود فريق أيلة للغطس الذين يؤدون عملاً جباراً في حماية وتنظيف الشواطئ من التلوث، ضمن برنامج يستمر على مدار العام، كما ونبادر للانضمام إلى أية جهود تسهم في إبقاء شواطئ العقبة بأفضل حلة حفاظاً على التنوع الحيوي الفريد”. و أشار دودين إلى أن أيلة تلتزم بقواعد بيئية صارمة ضمن جهودها للحفاظ على موقعها المتقدم كمنشأة مستدامة، منوهاً إلى الهدف رقم 14 من برنامج الامم المتحدة للتنمية المستدامة 2030 الرامي إلى الحفاظ على المحيطات والبحار والموارد البحرية واستخدامها بشكل مستدام لتحقيق التنمية المستدامة. الحملة التي شهدت مشاركة فرق من الدفاع المدني، والقوة البحرية والزوارق الملكية الأردنية، ومحطة العلوم البحرية ، وفريق الغطس في أيلة، وعدد من مراكز الغوص في العقبة، اشتملت على عدة نشاطات بيئية وسياحية وأخرى منوّعة تثقيفية وتوعوية، بالتعاون بين الجمعية الملكية لحماية البيئة البحرية وسلطة منطقة العقبة الاقتصادية الخاصة وشركة واحة أيلة للتطوير ومشاركة مؤسسات رسمية في العقبة وأخرى ممثلة عن المجتمع المحلي ومؤسسات القطاع الخاص والمدارس وبالتعاون مع مراكز الغوص في العقبة. بدوره، أكد أمين السر والقائم بأعمال المدير التنفيذي للجمعية الملكية لحماية البيئة البحرية السيد خالد الكردي على ان الحملة في نسختها الثلاثين للعام الحالي تميّزت بتسليطها الضوء على بعض المواقع المهمة تاريخياً وطبيعياً وتراثياً، وربطها بالمنتجات السياحية وما تقدمه من خدمات للضيوف وزوار مدينة العقبة. وشكر الكردي الدعم الذي تقدمه أسرة شركة واحة أيلة للتطوير في الحفاظ على البيئة البحرية وبرامجها الخاصة بالتوعية والتثقيف للحفاظ على شواطئ العقبة. وشملت الحملة التي استمرت على مدار يومين مشاركة فريق أيلة للغوص في تنظيف جوف البحر في منطقة الشاطئ الجنوبي وفرز وتوزيع النفايات بمشاركة المتطوعين، بالإضافة إلى استضافة أيلة لأنشطة تفاعلية بيئية بمشاركة المدارس، وفعاليات تثقيفية بعنوان “فكّر بالأخضر” في ساحة الثورة العربية الكبرى.

Ayla Oasis Development Company demonstrated its commitment to environmental stewardship by supporting the “Clean up the World 2023” campaign, held under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Basma bint Ali and organized by the Royal Marine Conservation Society of Jordan in Aqaba for the 30th consecutive year. The event was graced by the presence of Nayef Al-Fayez, Chief Commissioner of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority.
During the campaign, Ayla hosted engaging environmental activities involving experts and students from local schools. Cleanup efforts in the marina area were conducted in collaboration with diving centers, with oversight from the Public Security Directorate and the Civil Defense.
Ayla’s contribution to the campaign included the active involvement of its diving team in cleanup operations, taking place from the 13th to the 14th of September of the previous year. The team worked tirelessly to remove harmful waste from various depths, safeguarding the marine environment and spreading awareness about the importance of adhering to environmental regulations on our beaches.
Sahl Dudin, Managing Director of Ayla Oasis Development Company, expressed his pride in the company’s support for this initiative, emphasizing Ayla’s unwavering commitment to reducing pollution, combatting climate change, and preventing waste disposal on our pristine shores. He highlighted Ayla’s longstanding tradition of collaborative efforts in marine environment protection, which has garnered international recognition, exemplified by the Blue Flag certification of several Ayla facilities.

Dudin underscored Ayla’s adherence to stringent environmental standards as part of its mission to maintain its status as a sustainable facility. He emphasized the significance of UN Sustainable Development Goal 14, which aims to conserve oceans, seas, and marine resources, ensuring their sustainable use for overall development.
The campaign witnessed active participation from various groups, including the Civil Defense, the Navy, Royal Jordanian Navy boats, the Marine Science Station, Ayla’s diving team, a number of local diving centers, and a collaborative effort between the Royal Marine Conservation Society, the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority, and Ayla Oasis Development Company. Official institutions in Aqaba, local community organizations, private sector entities, schools, and local diving centers also joined hands to make this campaign a success.
Khaled Al-Kurdi, the Secretary and Acting Executive Director of the Royal Marine Conservation Society, highlighted the campaign’s 30th edition as a special milestone. It showcased historically, naturally, and culturally significant sites, linking them to tourism products and services offered to guests and visitors in Aqaba. Al-Kurdi expressed gratitude to Ayla Oasis Development Company for its unwavering support in preserving the marine environment and for its educational programs aimed at protecting Aqaba’s beaches.
The two-day campaign featured Ayla’s diving team actively engaged in cleaning the seabed in the southern beach area, sorting and distributing waste with the assistance of volunteers. Additionally, it included interactive environmental activities with school students and educational events under the banner of “Think Green” in the Arab Revolt Square.
